Medial vs. Lateral
Medial: Inner side of the shoe (closer to your other foot).
Lateral: Outer side of the shoe (farther from your other foot).
Gait

Includes how your foot strikes the ground and moves through each step.
Understanding your gait helps in selecting supportive footwear.
Overpronation
Foot rolls too far inward during stride.
Common in people with low arches or flat feet.
May lead to stress on knees and ankles.
Recommended shoes: Stability or motion control shoes.
Supination (Underpronation)
Foot rolls outward instead of inward.
Often seen in people with high arches.
Can cause impact-related issues like shin splints.
Recommended shoes: Cushioned shoes for shock absorption.
